On July 27, 2026, the Organization for Social Development (OSD) held a collaborative workshop at the Azziman Hotel in Addis Ababa to promote the Addis Child-Led Initiatives Coalition (ACLIC) among SIDA partners, civil society organizations, and local government stakeholders. Entirely facilitated by child leaders from ACLIC, the event served as a platform to highlight the coalition’s achievements in child rights advocacy and to foster stronger institutional partnerships for child-led initiatives. In alignment with OSD's strategic efforts to build inclusive, rights-based capacity across development programming, the gathering brought together 67 key representatives to discuss gender equality, disability inclusion, and child participation. A major highlight of the workshop was the joint technical review of OSD's draft monitoring checklist, where participants worked together to refine the tool into a gender-sensitive, accessible instrument designed to strengthen accountability and support evidence-based advocacy for children's rights.

On July 25, 2026, OSD, in partnership with ECCD under the Sida Programme, conducted a Disability Inclusion and Social Inclusion Training for ACLIC members and N/S/L sub city child parlament members . The training aimed to strengthen participants’ understanding of disability concepts, challenge negative perceptions, and promote a rights-based approach to inclusion.Through interactive discussions and practical sessions, participants explored barriers faced by persons with disabilities, inclusive development approaches, accessibility, and strategies to ensure meaningful participation of all people. The training equipped ACLIC members with knowledge and tools to advance disability inclusion and promote a more equitable and inclusive society.
