
Organization for Social Development (OSD) and The Young Women's Christian Association (YWCA) hosted a collaborative child-rights workshop in Adama, uniting children from Adama, Addis Child Led Initiative Coalition (ACLIC), Nifas Silk Lafto Sub City Child Parliament, Debre Birhan with Save the Children International and government stakeholders. Organization for Social Development in partnership with Save the Children International conducted a Training Workshop on Child Rights and Business Principles (CRBP) on May 09, 2026, in Bishoftu, Ethiopia, bringing together children from Addis Child-Led Initiatives Coalition (ACLIC), partner CSOs, and stakeholders to strengthen child-led advocacy and understanding of child rights in business practices. The workshop focused on the Ten CRBP principles, the Spider Web organizational assessment tool, child labour advocacy, disability inclusion, and responsible business practices, while also highlighting ACLIC members’ experiences from Shangtex Garment Industry at Bole Lemi Industrial Park. The training strengthened participants’ advocacy, leadership, and organizational assessment skills and concluded with strong commitments from OSD and SCI to continue advancing child rights and CRBP implementation in Ethiopia.
